Katharina Marchant

Katharina Marchant has a BA in Painting from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a MFA in Photography from Utah State University. Katharina was raised an Air Force Brat. This childhood influences much of her work. She works with 19th century photographic processes and painting to create mixed media work about military brats of all cultures. Her most recent work has been about motherhood and identity.

The registry acts as a forum for exposure to our internal curators, for possible inclusion in a show. A registry artist will not have an artist card in the main Art in Embassies website section (art.state.gov/artists) until they are included in an exhibition, nor are they searchable in the main search function of the website (art.state.gov).
