Rick Salafia received his BFA from the University of Rhode Island and his MFA from Rutgers. He has taught at Lehigh University, Carleton College, and Bucknell University. He is a sculptor, photographer, and woodworker and teaches Foundation Design and Digital Media classes as well as general education studio courses for non-majors at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. He lives in Kutztown with his wife and their two children, as well as a number of pieces of wood that are too small to use but too large to throw away.
