About the author

A native of Salt Lake City, David Roholt lived in Japan for the span of two years prior to studying at Utah State University earning a BFA in Painting and Drawing in 2002. In 2003 he moved to the Front Range of Colorado and received a MFA in Painting from Colorado State University in 2006. In 2005 he was a recipient of the W. Garfield Weston Fellowship; and worked as an artist-in-residence in Manitoba, Canada in conjunction with the Delta Waterfowl Organization completing a number of plein air oil paintings inspired by the Prairie Pothole Region surrounding Lake Manitoba. David's works can be found in public and private collections. He has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Canada, Denmark,England,Germany, and the United States. His past teaching experience includes two years of instruction on the High Plains of Colorado as an Assistant Professor of Art at Northeastern Junior College. David enjoys living in the Pacific Northwest and is currently a Professor of Art at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom located on the edge of the Puget Sound in Lakewood, Washington.
