About the author

"Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual." Edward Weston I don't set out to create art. As the quote by Weston suggests, I find beauty, poetry and excitement in everything I see. I'm never without my camera. I am constantly shooting the ordinary, the extraordinary and everything in between. Since the moment my mom handed me my first camera, I have documented the world around me. I find all people beautiful and interesting. I find landscapes bold and mysterious. I find architecture intricate and amazing. My portfolio is filled with images of life. I want to draw attention to the wonders of everyday life, of the things we walk right by and don't notice. I want my images to speak for themselves. Each picture holds a unique secret, a special message for every one of my patrons. Anyone who views my works will take away a slightly different message. And that's how it should be. A picture is truly worth a thousand words. James Crichlow is a photographer based in Neptune Beach that received his B.A.in History from The University of Texas at Arlington. He has wom numerous awards for his efforts in photojournalism but looks toward the American Frontier for his personal works.
