I am a colorist and abstractionist. My muse is the southwest desert and nature in general. I create colorful & joyful paintings & mosaics. My work is full of life and has been called juicy & flamboyant. Much is full of texture and utilizes oil paint, oil sticks & pastels. Painting is a conversation for me with my canvas or substrate. As the image develops we communicate back & forth to build layers of color, light & shadow. The end result is an image bursting with joy and positive energy.
