Luyi Xu

Luyi Xu was born in a province in Southern China and currently lives in the United States. She earned her Master of Fine Art in Painting and Printmaking from Yale School of Art. In her work, she focuses on the study of power relationships and the ideological impact of inhumane conditions and social psychology. This furthers her exploration into the problems of gender and human equality.

Please note, artists who have signed up to be included in the registry are not yet participating Art in Embassies artists in an exhibition. The registry acts as a forum for exposure to our internal curators, for possible inclusion in a show. A registry artist will not have an artist card in the main Art in Embassies website section (art.state.gov/artists) until they are included in an exhibition, nor are they searchable in the main search function of the website (art.state.gov).
