About the author

In 1999, I graduated with a BFA from the Corcoran College of Art and Design. Throughout my art career, I have had solo exhibits and participated in group exhibitions in the United States, Ecuador, Germany, Bosnia, and Croatia. I have been fortunate to help different charities by donating my artwork for them to raise funds for their causes. The charities ranged from education to cancer research. So far, the most rewarding part of my experience as an artist has been the ability to create programs that make a difference in people's lives. In 2015 I created a global art initiative called Project Postcard. We create Art & Culture projects for elementary school children from around the world. Our projects promote art education, technology, global collaboration, and understanding or each other's cultures. I have exhibited the children's artwork in embassies, Dulles airport, and the International Space Station. In 2013, my 'infusions' Series became part of the cancer survival stories supports: "Seize the Days" portal. The "Infusions series" was also added to the Johns Hopkins Medicine Special Collections "JScholarship's select collection." For many years I worked as a free-lance artist. I worked in various commercial projects around the United States for clients such as The Cheesecake Factory, MTV Networks, L'Oreal, and VH1, political conventions for both the Republican and Democratic parties. Volunteering has been vital to me as well. In 2006 I was allowed to be part of the Docent program at the National Portrait Gallery for "Retratos: 2,000 Years of Latin American Portraits".
