Tina Tahir is a Chicago-based artist who works in a variety of media. She makes temporary installations that explore the concept of beauty and destruction. She has recently received the 2015 ARTslanT juried artist showcase award in the installation category and was shortlisted for the Georgia Fee artist/writer residency in Paris. Tahir received a MFA in Studio from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a MA in Visual and Critical Studies from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago
