Concerning the Euclid Etchings

Drafting is in my background. I grew up in an atmosphere where design had a significant importance. The tools of that trade have been familiar and a fascination since childhood. The compass, French curve, protractor, triangle and sources of measurement all fit. When I was introduced to Euclid I immediately saw the simplicity and beauty in his propositions and envisioned them as drypoint etchings. I like to play with the fixed, logical and absolute and to jar it bringing a new perspective to the viewer.
