Silvia Ros is a photographer specializing in a reportage style of editorial photography. Her work seeks to point out the subtle but intrinsic quality of her subjects.
Silvia Ros, had her first solo exhibition, The Art of Boxing, in 2006 at the MIA Gallery. Her piece, Freedom to Love, was featured in Thoughts on Democracy, which is currently touring in the United States as well as internationally. Recent projects include Rodeo, Arrested Development and Ribfest. She has been the staff photographer at The Wolfsonian-FIU since 2001 and is the founder of the National LGBT Visual Documentation Project.
