About the author

A design class, which I attended at the Anchorage Museum of History and Art in 1995, connected me with a group of fiber artists and inspired me to become an artist. While working full-time as a programs manager for the State of Alaska, I enrolled in art classes at the University of Alaska Anchorage and numerous workshops around the United States. After experimenting with various paints and techniques, I chose the art quilt as my medium. In 1997, jurors started selecting my work for national and international shows. My quilts have been juried numerous times into the prestigious Quilt National and Visions exhibitions. Two received the Award of Distinction at Quilt Nihon in Japan. Another received the Domini McCarthy Award at Quilt National. My art is in numerous public, private and corporate collections. Many galleries, museums, and other venues, including the U. S. Embassies in Moscow, Russia and Cape Town, South Africa have exhibited my work. One quilt is currently on display at the U. S. NATO Embassy in Brussels, Belgium. My work is featured in a Lark Books publication, ‘Masters: Art Quilts, Volume 2’. Gallery representation is with Artique, Ltd., Anchorage AK; L’Attitude Gallery, Boston MA; and TheArtfulHome.com
