Carl and Sandra Bryant, a self-educated artist team, began glass mosaic work in 2001 after many years of oil painting and creating hand made tile. Mosaic art is like painting with glass, with beauty and permanence. Mosaics are graffiti resistant, versatile and can be applied to so many dimensions; indoor and outdoor murals, sculpture, fine art, wallpaper, backsplashes, fireplaces, mirrors, park benches and whatever else your imagination comes up with. The possibilities are endless. Art of Tesserae: Juried mosaic art exhibition 2nd City Council, Long Beach, CA June-August 2009 for Gelato and Nightmusic ASID Orange County Design House 2009: Created the 50 ft mosaic mural backsplash and bar surround in conjunction with Frank Pittman and The Last Layer, Irvine, CA. Mosaic Arts International: Museum of Man, San Diego, CA Feb 27, 2009 – April 26, 2009 International juried mosaic exhibition for the Manchurian Cranes. This work was used as the banner advertising for the show by the Museum of Man. Mosaic Art Now: one of 34 mosaic artists featured in this annual magazine, also included in 2008 edition. The Guild Sourcebook and retail catalog: we were juried into the Sourcebook in 2003 through current, and have been represented in consecutive retail catalogs and online at artfulhome.com since fall 2006 for a variety of decorative mosaic mirrors.
