My Father was in the U.S. military and because of that we traveled extensively, By the time I graduated from high school I had been to twelve countries and thirteen different schools. I resided primarily in Europe as a teen and loved art from an early age. I preferred to draw my dolls rather than play with them as a child. I had my first oil painting class at twelve with the officers wives and continued from there. I attended Corcoran School of Art in Washington D. C., the University of Kentucky where I received a Bachelor's degree and then my Master's from Georgetown. I taught visual art at the prestigious School for the Performing Arts in Lexington, and after a career in education retired to create my own paintings.
