Adam Davies received an EdM from Harvard University and an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University. From 2010 to 2013, he held a full-time position as Lecturer & Media Specialist at the National Gallery of Art, Washington and previously held teaching positions at Carnegie Mellon, Catholic, Robert Morris, and Harvard universities. He is a recipient of grants from the Vira I. Heinz Endowment, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. His photographs have appeared in a number of publications, including the Photo Review, South x Southeast Photomagazine, and Triple Canopy Magazine.

Davies has held residencies at Yaddo, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, the Chinati Foundation, Jentel Residency Program, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and the Albee Foundation. His photographs have been acquired by the DC Art Bank, Washingtonia Collection, and Fidelity Corporate Collection. He was honored as Outstanding Emerging Artist at the DC 30th Annual Mayor's Arts Awards and is the recipient of the 2015 Clarence John Laughlin Award. In 2016, he was commissioned by Georgetown's Lombardi Cancer Center to create a photographic series for its new building, that will go on view in early 2017. He is currently an artist in residence at the Creative Alliance in Baltimore.
