Israeli born, Houston based Anat Ronen is a self-taught urban artist with a specialty in large scale murals and street painting. Being a business executive most of her adult life, she never thought she could make a living with her art, but three years ago, while living in the U.S., she began creating as a professional artist and has since painted over 300 original murals in Houston, Texas. With latex (house paint), and acrylics and a handful of brushes, Anat has created monumental works for such clients as Nieman Marcus, Dr. Pepper, The City of Sarasota, the Houston School District and more.
Some of her public murals can be seen along the I-45, I-10 and Highway 59 throughout Houston, TX, as well as on exterior and interior walls throughout the city of Houston and neighboring cities and also in other locations in the US.
In addition to her mural work, Anat has become a dynamic street painter. Working on large scale collaborative projects with artist Melanie Stimmell Van Latum and 'We Talk Chalk', as well as being honored as the featured artist at Houston's Via Colori Festival in 2011.
Following Anat's prolific career, she was recently granted a solo show at the Betz Gallery in Houston for which she has created a new body of fine art influenced by her love of larger than life works.
