Thelma Jarvis Peterson:
I am a watercolor / acrylic artist living on the Eastern shore of Virginia. I have been painting professionally for over 30 years and have worked with many conservation organizations producing artwork for their fund-raising campaigns.
I have owned and operated a art gallery on the Eastern Shore of Virginia for over 16 years and have my work exhibited and displayed in museums, galleries and private collections across the country.
I have dedicated most of my works to helping to preserve and portray the many unique habitats here on the Eastern Shore as well as its rich history and heritage.
My roots and heritage run deep in the land where I live and the salt water that surrounds me runs as deep through my veins as it ran through my ancestors, who made their living working the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and the oceans off our Barrier Islands.
