My works are a contemporary reflection of my impressions and experiences of the world around me as envisioned in wood. Through these works I try to reach a feeling or experience that elicits emotion or memory in the viewer.

Although wood is the foundation, the works include use of materials such as paint and gold leaf, along with techniques such as carving and turning, to guide the piece as it evolves to its finished form.

While there is some thematic consistency among the works, each creation stands alone. Although some works may be related through similar composure of materials, each piece is a one of a kind expression. If the viewer discerns a theme among various works then the piece has reached the viewer and as an artist I have connected with the viewer in a shared experience.
