Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, the city where I fell in love with letterpress. I first studied fine craft at the Appalachian Center for Crafts in East Tennessee, then philosophy at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. While wrapping up a degree at Belmont University in Nashville, I served an internship at the legendary letterpress show poster shop, Hatch Show Print, and didn’t leave. After years of working my dusty dream job creating posters for artists performing on the stage of the Ryman Auditorium, I realized that I could never do anything else. I went on to study fine printmaking in graduate school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Eventually I ended up in Spokane, Washington a few years ago with my lovely little family. I started my own studio, Interpunct-Press, to generate custom work, fine art, children’s books, posters, and carry on this tradition.
