Cathy Dixson is an editorial, commercial, fine art and Blues music photographer based in Norfolk, Virginia.

Her work has appeared in USA Today, Newsweek, Navy Times, Army Times, The Virginian Pilot, The Daily Press, Norfolk Quarterly, United Way Annual reports, Portfolio magazine, and Blues News, the official publication of the Natchel’ Blues Network.

Corporate clients include Amerigroup Corporation, Chrysler Museum of Art, Norfolk Convention & Visitors Bureau, McKenzie Construction Corp., Brown Building, Corp., City of Norfolk, Dave Iwans & Assoc., Advertising & PR, Supervalu, Checkered Flag Motor Car Company, Hampton Roads Maritime Assoc., Virginia Port Authority,, Delegate Paula Miller, MSG The Acoustic Blues Trio, Kim Capps, Piedmont Blues vocalist.

She has donated her photography to the nationally known Heart Gallery Project and has also worked in the non-profit field donating work to the Norfolk SPCA, Tidewater Arts Outreach, ForKids, the Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC.

Since 1983 she has been photographing Blues musicians, working with the non-profit Natchel’ Blues Network, Inc., filling roles as staff photographer from 1985 to the present and president from 1993-1995 and 2008-2010.
