Sofia Chitikov is a Russian-American visual artist who currently resides in Washington D.C.
Bold and emotionally charged, Chitikov’s abstract works have been described as dynamic, hypnotic and explosive. Her 3D expressionist paintings and mixed media wall sculptures embody an obsession with making order out of chaos. Chitikov’s unconventional use of resin and recycled materials brings textural elements to the forefront of her works that sometimes seem to drip, spill or explode from within.

Chitikov has exhibited in group shows and art fairs including The Other Art Fair Brooklyn, Art Santa Fe and Red Dot. Her original work can be found in private collections in Chicago, New York City, Miami and Mexico City.
