Cristina Paulos
Cristina Natsuko Paulos received her BFA from the California Institute of the Arts in the animation program in 2006. As an animator, she incorporates various techniques from animation and applies them to her work creating impressions of movement. She uses a variety of materials in her art making, including paints, inks, dyes, crafts, handmade papers using recycled paper bags, canvas, wood, and mixed media. Her films have screened in film festivals in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. She has been twice recognized by the Nevada Art Council, where she received an Artist Fellowship Grant and Jackpot Grant. Her work has attracted the attention by art collectors and two of my pieces are permanent part of the Cirque du Soleil Contemporary Art Collection, Montréal Quebec, Canada. Her art work has on display in galleries in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York City, San Francisco, North Carolina, Spain, and Puerto Rico.
In her spare time, she enjoys creating web comics, painting, puppet making, cartoon shorts and teaching art.
