In 1978, when asked to make decisions about what I would do as my life's work, I mapped out a plan that culminates in living the life of a successful fine artist. I am well on my way to living out this dream, having earned several best of show and first place awards in international exhibitions. I have collectors in the private and corporate sectors worldwide, and have had work in juried exhibitions in several countries.

I create paintings that tell stories of joy, desire, challenge and encouragement. I consider the magic in our reality, and depict it to the best of my ability.

Using oil or acrylic paints, I draw from my own life to create art experiences for viewers across the globe. I paint in a tightly rendered realistic style with contemporary, Trompe L'Oeil and classical influences.

My specialty is small paintings. Part of my process for creating miniature fine art involves the use of magnifying lenses and close range binoculars. I enjoy demonstrating these techniques for art lovers.

Originally from Detroit, my B.S.E. degree is in biochemical engineering and I worked as a corporate engineer at pharmaceutical facilities for fifteen years. During that time, I built my commission business. In 2010, after raising three children, I was able to begin painting full time. In December 2012 I was offered representation at Huckleberry Fine Art Gallery in Rockville, MD and Seaside Art Gallery in Nags Head, NC. In October 2014, Ellis-Nicholson Gallery asked me to become one of their artists. As of March 2015, I am an artist at Debrilcha Gallery in Cocoa Beach, FL as well.

I am an Art Renewal Center Living Artist, and proud to have signature memberships in The Miniature Artists of America, The Miniature Painters Sculptors Gravers Society of Washington D.C., Cider Painters of America and the Hilliard Society in Wells England. I am a juried member of The International Guild of Realism.

Life is good, and my dream continues.
