Desiree Warren was born in Ottawa, Kansas, and grew up just outside of town on eighty acres of land. The far youngest in the family, she had plenty of time to herself to explore and create on the farm and always had a love of making and decorating.

After graduating from Ottawa High School in 2001, Warren went to the University of Kansas and discovered an interest in street signs--their purpose, graphic elements, and materials. Majoring in sculpture and minoring in art history, she finished her career at KU in August of 2005. She was able to find a job related to her art background at a retail gallery in Downtown Lawrence, where she learned about running a small business and venturing out on the art festival circuit.

Warren has shown in multiple group shows across the country, most recently in a five-person exhibit sponsored by the National Museum of Women in the Arts at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art called Women to Watch | Metals. In December she was chosen to be an artist in the Gifts of Art program at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor.
