Denise Froehlich has been a fine art photographer and designer for more than 20 years. Her images are autobiographical with a focus on her own home and its surroundings, her family and friends homes as well as documenting agrarian New England life and its vanishing values. Her photographs can be found in New England museums and academic institutions as well as in many private collections throughout the country. She is also a professor of art and has taught at numerous academic institutions including Bates College, Maine College of Art, College of the Atlantic and the University of New England all in Maine, and New England School of Art and Design/Suffolk in Boston Massachusetts. Denise was the 2004/8 recipient of a Carnegie Mellon grant to teach at Bates College and the 2008 recipient of a Harvard grant through the Kitteredge foundation. She lives with her daughter Zoƫ and border collie Tula in Kennebunkport and Portland Maine.
