BIOGRAPHY:

Diane Russo was born in Kentucky, raised in New York by open fields, farmland and the beach. The farmland was surrounded by history and beautiful beaches were lined with beach plums. She is an ethereal landscape artist using either pastel or acrylic paint. Her artistic process began as a child when she traveled with her family admiring beautiful landscapes, seascapes and countryside. Her art portrays traditional characters from past to present along the East Coast of New York to Florida. Diane is inspired by the beauty and simple times of life. She wants to simply share her peaceful world with others by taking them on a tranquil journey filled with hope and inspiration. Hopefully, her drawings will reach your heart as you experience the tales that she is trying to convey. To experience the simple treasures of nature is a precious gift. She places these moments on canvas for you.

She studied at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she excelled and also studied Fashion Design in New York. Three of her paintings were chosen to be on display at The Gallery for Center of Creative Education in West Palm Beach Florida from March 5, 2016 to April 23, 2016.

I am inspired by “The Florida Highwaymen” and “Thomas Kinkade.” My vision is to take you to a tranquil place filled with peace and light through my use of color. My artistic process includes pastel and acrylic paint. Most of my work has a combination of ethereal and impressionism characteristics to it. It is my hope that you will become mesmerized by the beauty of my art and become inspired by what you see. With the depiction of certain light, you can view nature in it's most beautiful form.
