Born and raised in Hong Kong, China, Connie DK Lane currently lives and works in Long Beach, California. Having received both her BFA in Ceramics and her MFA from California State University Long Beach, she primarily focuses on mixed media sculpture and installation. Lane has exhibited her distinctive sculptural assemblages at venues throughout the United States, including the Torrance Art Museum, Long Beach Museum of Art, UCLA's Wright Gallery, Rio Hondo College Art Gallery, Cerritos College Art Gallery, Mount St. Mary University Art Gallery, Korean Cultural Arts Center, LA Artcore, Irvine Fine Arts Center, East International/LA, Stone Rose Gallery, Art Cube Gallery, Rosalux Gallery/Minneapolis, University of Hawaii Art Gallery/Honolulu, A.I.R. Gallery/New York and Sandra Lee Gallery/SF. Her most recent project, "Vertical" has exhibited in Packard, Long Beach where she created a sculptural installation about her memories from the environment where she grew up.
