Elizabeth Billings graduated from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1989, the same year she
was included in the Lausanne Biennale. She continues to develop her work and maintain a
strong exhibit record. In the late 1990’s the work expanded to include large scale public art,
many in collaboration with Andrea Wasserman. Her art work extends the long tradition of textiles and emanates out of the rhythm at
the very essence of the process of weaving. At the core of these rhythms is a deep
connection to nature. The strength of her work lies in making visible that connection.
