Gail Peck was born in Silver Spring, Maryland. She has always been
inspired by the natural world. Gail received her Bachelor of Arts in Art and
Art History from Arizona State University. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in
Studio Art from Maryland Institute College of Art.
As a multi-disciplinary artist, her paintings, photography, and assemblage
have been shown in the Sewall-Belmont House and Museum, the National
Cathedral, The Invitational Gallery at Strathmore, BlackRock Center for the
Arts, in addition to multiple galleries, and art centers throughout North
America. Her painting, Gustav’s Quilt I, won first place in the “Introspective
Images” exhibition in Bethesda, MD in 2004. Her work is held in multiple
private collections throughout the United States. She previously taught art
at a private school for students with behavioral and social challenges as
well as for Montgomery County Public Schools. She has most recently
joined the team at the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum as
a Photographer and Videographer.
