K. Gretchen Greene creates abstract organic steel sculptures exploring memory and themes related to relationships and the environment.

Educated at Yale, Princeton, Oxford and a dozen other places, Greene is currently working on a three story high sculpture for the Boston Harbor, planning for a national park residency and serving as director for Artisan's Asylum, the largest makerspace in the world.

She has also been a U.S. Department of Energy mathematician, a ship designer, a Hollywood animator, a cave explorer, a storyteller and an environmental and corporate lawyer.

Greene’s work has been featured by The Economist and Boston.com and is showing in New York, California and Massachusetts. It is in private collections internationally and in institutional collections including BKB Somerville Climbing Gym, Providence Children’s Museum, Oberlin College, U.C.L.A. and Ventura Unified School District.
