Gwendolyn O’Connor’s Award Winning Watercolour on Silk have been highly acclaimed since her first One Man Show nearly twenty years ago.

In spite of the high demand for her Originals, she is still meticulous in every detail, and never rushes her creations.
Her Art Represents Hawai’i, and her Reproductions are given to visiting Dignitaries from around the world. She has been interviewed in magazines and on the radio honoring her Art and dedication to the preservation of the Islands.
Raised in the Islands since a young child, her love and appreciation for its beauty can be seen in every brushstroke. She is devoted to the preservation of the unique flora and fauna of the Islands. She studies living Native Birds at the Keahou Bird Conservation Center in Volcano, Hawai’i, and Extinct Bird Specimens at Museums around the world.
Dedicated to Peace, she is a member of the American State Department Art in Embassies program. Her work is prominently displayed in the reception room of the American Embassy in Singapore, representing Hawai’i in the show “From Sea to Shinning Sea”. Other Works are on display in the American Embassy in Laos. Her Art has appeared on the 2008 Desk Calender sent to every American Embassy in the World.
Self-taught, she uses no resist or wax, only pure Watercolour on the Highest Quality Silk. The results are jewel like luminosity that must be seen to be believed.
