Jeff Hensley received an MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art. From 2005 to 2018, he held a contractual position as an art educator at the National Gallery of Art, Washington and previously held teaching positions in Arlington, VA as well as Howard County, MD. He is a recipient of grants from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the Ed Taylor Fellowship. His artworks have appeared in a number of publications, including the Washington Post.
Hensley has held residencies at the Jentel Residency Program and Artcroft Creative Center. His paintings have been acquired by the DC Art Bank, Washington Collection, and Yamana Gold Corporate Collection. He was honored as a Sondheim Semi-Finalist in Baltimore, MD.
