Jennifer Ashe Thompson was born in New York City into a family of artists,the most noted of which are Mary Beach and Edmund Marion Ashe. Mary Beach collaborated with the likes of Bob Kaufman, Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs and Ed Sanders as well as other beat artist/writers. E.M. Ashe was artist/correspondent to the White House and noted art educator. Surrounded by these artistic influences, Jennifer started honing her talent by the age of nine.
Jennifer an artist and writer has studied art at Hartford Art School, and the Tucson Museum of Art. In addition, she has studied under the tutelage of the world renowned couple Mary Beach and Claude Pelieu. Jennifer continues to enhance her knowledge of art through various trainings and workshops with
other acclaimed artists, such as Karen Winslow, and England’s Stephie Butler.

Jennifer’s mediums have included bronze and marble sculpting, 3D stained glass, intaglio printmaking, watercolor, oil painting, pastels, and mixed media. Her styles have gone through various transformations as she matures and gains life experience. In addition to producing art, Jennifer has been a guest lecturer on art history, and is a private art instructor.

Jennifer’s achievements include showing in various galleries and shows in New York, Connecticut, Arizona, and New Mexico. Most notably, Jennifer was juried into the show “Vanishing Perspectives” at the Waterfront Gallery, as part of the 2008 Spoleto Festival.
