I was born and raised in Mexico City and have a bachelor degree in Communication from Universidad AnĂ¡huac in Mexico City.
I worked as a creative in advertising right after I finished high school and moved to NYC in 1998 in which I work in various advertising agencies that target the US Hispanic market and studied at Parsons School which gave me a degree in Graphic Design. I coursed other CE programs at SVA and Cooper Union.
I quit my job after becoming a mother but continue working as a Visual Artist, I discover drawing and painting in 2004, and have been working from life models and learning anatomical drawing and figure painting since.
After my first year studies at the master degree level on figurative painting at the New York Academy of Art, I have been preparing myself for a self-directed body of work that represents my artistic interest, my personality and contributes to creating social awareness.
I have been exhibited my paintings in the USA, with more than 20 different groups shows including several Galleries in NYC, Brooklyn, Long Island, Poughkeepsie, California, and Philadelphia, Sothebys Auction House in NY and Museums like the Attleboro Arts Museum in Massachusetts and the New Britain Museum of America Art. One Solo show in NYC, and participated in more than 5 Group Shows in Mexico City and Puebla.
I have been teaching young girls from middle and high school drawing privately.
I receive The Award of Excellence from Huntington Arts Council in 2015 and Barrett Art Center in 2017. I am a member of the American Federation of the Arts and most Museums in NY.
