Jayde Archbold is a painter from Tampa, Florida. She spent most of her time outside as a child, exploring the natural world around her, which is what inspires her paintings today. She resided in Tampa for 13 years until 2007, where she relocated with her family to Dade City, FL. She pursued her interest in art and painting through college, and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the University of South Florida in 2016. Her current work investigates the many facets of her surroundings, and explores various places and objects in nature. Bright, neon colors inspired by the colors of the Florida landscape dominate her surfaces. Plants, trees, flowers, rocks, take the form of seemingly abstract forms that create new environments for the viewer to explore.
