Jeanette resides in Orange County, California. For the past 28 years, she has added the titles of award-winning artist and lecturer to her resume. Textile art has become a major pursuit for her. For more than 30 years she has created textile work of all types. Jeanette knits, makes jewelry, paints, sculpts, crochet, sews, and quilts. From an early age, she has loved art and believes you should always pursue learning and exploring to strengthen your creativity.
She has created more items for donation to churches, hospitals, the military, and individuals over the years than she can number or remember. Thanks to some wonderful teachers Jeanette has passed on this love of fiber art in teaching others. She truly believes in the motto “Each one teaches one”.
During the pandemic, she made and gave away 400 masks to those in need. She has made and given numerous NICU patients and newborns baby items as well as other items. Jeanette has a strong passion and purpose for helping, caring for, and inspiring others in all her art forms. She has volunteered her talents with Social Justice Sewing Academy, Orange County Modern Quilt Guild, Beach Cities Quilt Guild, National African American Quilt Guild, Saddleback Valley Church, friends, family, and strangers in need.

Jeanette’s art quilt “Handsome” for the We Are the Story Exhibit has been requested as part of an exhibit for the Smithsonian. Jeanette hopes her work will continue to inspire, move, and heal people and give a message of hope as she continues her artistic journey. Her work is now sold and commissioned for private buyers. She is also available for lectures to share her journey and what inspires her to create. What's next for Jeanette? She is working on teaching content and online classes.
