Jocelyn Toffic is an American figurative oil painter, although she dabbles in mixed media assemblages, video installation, as well as structural and landscape painting. She is a 2007 graduate of the University of New Hampshire's Art Department where she received a fellowship for her final year of undergraduate study. Jocelyn is also co-founder and co-curator of the aRtPM Challenge, a winter long event open to the public, designed to further develop a community of creativity in the seacoast of New Hampshire and Maine, where the artist lives.
Jocelyn exhibits her work extensively in Portsmouth NH as well as Provincetown MA (where she is represented by Bowersock Gallery). She has also shown in New York and San Fransisco, as well as Art Basel Miami 2011. Jocelyn recently completed an artist residency at HEIMA in Iceland where she spent the month of March creating over 400 works on paper. She will return to Iceland in the winter of 2015 to complete a residency at Hafnarborg Museum in Hafnarfjordur.
