Susan Kaprov was born and raised in New York City where she attended CUNY and later Dartmouth College, majoring in both biology and fine arts. She has traveled widely and lived in the Netherlands for two years before returning to the US in the 1980's. As an artist, she is known for her large vibrant and colorful public art projects that merge digital and traditional media, as well as for her photography, drawings, and mixed-media works on paper. Her work is represented in the collections of major museums in the US and abroad including the Museum of Modern Art, NY, the Metropolitan Museum of Art NY, and the Yale University Art Gallery, among many others. Kaprov currently lives and works in Brooklyn NY USA.
