Biography.
Sculptress and performance artist Kirsty Little strives to find honest organic movement in both spheres. Formerly a Circus Aerialist based in the UK for two decades, a sudden move to USA in 2011 left her finding her way in the art world and changing her style of performance. She is inspired by motherhood, identity, and the raising the profile of the struggling environment. She moved her aerial work into the field of Live Art using personal concepts to influence form. She works with porcelain, wood and wire to create anatomical shapes harkening to intense movement and work that speaks of peace in these turbulent times.
In her most recent work she combined plastic and fish, focusing on the Oceans present crisis. She has a studio at Red Dirt Studios and teaches aerial at Upspring Studios, both in Mount Rainer. She recently directed/performed the successful attempt at the World Guinness record for the most Aerialists choreographed on Silks.
