I’m Juliana Mims, a passionate Artist based in Atlanta, GA. After a nearly 20 year corporate career, selling K12 instructional materials, I transitioned to a life of Art where I have found my love. Primarily, I create abstract acrylic paintings on ceramic tiles with a beautiful resin finish. The tiles are mounted on repurposed premium wood and ready to hang. My goal is to use that small space to capture big feelings or share unique stories. I also work on canvas and wood to create larger works.
Currently, my work is on display at Kaboodle Home (East Atlanta Village), Blu Rose Art Gallery (Douglasville, GA), and at the Gill Gallery (East Point, GA). Additionally, I’m a participating artist in the Pancakes and Booze Art Show (Atlanta, July 2018).
I’m a self-taught artist and I have studied under Masters at galleries in West Palm Beach, FL, Santa Monica and Los Angeles, CA. I'm learning new techniques and styles from the many benevolent teachers and mentors in the Art Community. Mostly I just go at any given substrate with all my energy, passion, creativity, and emotions. In addition to being an artist, I'm a writer and I find that painting is equally effective for creating stories. I hope you find something in my work that speaks to you and resonates with your story.
