Les Mayers is an emerging artist in the contemporary art scene of southern California and has been featured in exhibits from coast to coast throughout the United States. He classifies his work as New Media Impressionism.
His work combines his traditional training in fine art, passion for photography and current advances in technology. Most pieces originate as either a digital image or hand drawn concept sketch and evolve through a series of innovative methods created by the artist.
Les presents most of his intensely colorful art on innovative new substrates, although many of his works are also available as traditional oil paintings on canvas, traditional and hand-embellished serigraphs, or as fine art prints that utilize archival quality inks on various museum grade substrates.
Some of the more innovative substrates his is currently utilizing include milled metal and various types of plastics and fabrics. Other advanced methods of display include backlit or digital panel display boards, digital projection and full-sized digital outdoor billboards. His final images are not limited in size, shape or materials.
