Lex Lumiere is an award-winning photographer and artist. Her work in photography, oil painting, and mixed media thrusts social boundaries and is often deemed inspirational in subject matter. Themes of environmentalism, activism and spirituality flood Lex Lumiere’s collections. Her art is politically and energetically charged because, as she says, “ it has to be, there is no point in creating artwork that does not strike a nerve or touch a soul.”
Raised in Houston, Texas, Lex Lumiere spent many summers at Cricchio Studios, her grandparents photography studio training in classic lighting and darkroom photography. Mr. Cricchio is a Kodak Camera Craftsman, one of the World’s Top 40 Photographers, and the only recipient of the Texas Lone Star award, Fuji Lifetime Achievement Award and UN Ambassadors award for photographic excellence.
