Born and raised in New Jersey, schooled in New York, and a long time resident of Long Island, Ms.Caggiano took to the then new acrylic paints while studying privately, and now alternates between acrylic and oil paint as preferred mediums.
Ms.Caggiano has been a professional painter and teacher for many years.Formerly an Adjunct Assoc Professor of Art, teaching painting and drawing at Southampton College on Long Island, NY, currently an instructor at The Academy Art Museum in Easton, MD.
Her paintings are in more than 300 private and public collections, including the Laurel Links Country Club, Laurel NY, The Palm Restaurant, East Hampton NY,Purdue University,Roosevelt Raceway,the Chrysler Museum, the Heckscher Museum, and the New York State Museum at Albany.
A recipient of a MacDowell Fellowship, and a grant from the Creative Artists Public Service Program, funded by the State of New York and the National Endowment for The Arts.
Ms.Caggiano has participated in over 100 solo and group exhibitions,including the Fort Wayne Museum of Art 2008 Biennial, "Contemporary American Realism"
