Matthew Dols has his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. His artwork has been exhibited in USA, UAE, Italy, Cuba, Canada, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Germany. His work is in the collections of the Al Serkal Foundation, Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Crown Point Press, and the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts, Legion of Honor Museum.

Matthew has been a professor of Visual Arts and Photography for over 10 years in the USA, UAE and Czech Republic. His work has investigated the nature of relationship through physical materials and psychological narratives. Often referencing art history and religious iconography in his work he continues to try to investigate and research the relationship between the inner narrative of the mind and the physical narrative of the body.
