Evoking a feeling of hazy nostalgia, Matthew Schommer's art creates an atmosphere reminiscent of elusive, lingering dreams. Iconic imagery and found photographs serve as a springboard to explore mankind's foggy past and uncertain future. With watercolor and acrylic paints and layers upon layers of graphite, his work prompts the viewer to analyze the human condition and society at large. Matthew's artwork has been on exhibition in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. He currently lives and works in Michigan.
