Maria Cristina “Cristy” Jadick is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work incorporates photography, video, printmaking, performance, and installation to address suffering and redemption through the lens of war, urban dislocation, homelessness, and global climate change. Jadick’s conceptually-based work focuses on issues of isolation and disconnection as experienced during times of extreme transition in order to build bridges, create space for dialogue, and connect people by promoting understanding and broad-mindedness. Her materials include found objects that serve to metaphorically promote appreciation for an authentic rather than ideal beauty aesthetic and respect for age and experience.
