Melita Greenleaf is a sculptor and mixed-media artist. She is represented by Galerie Aqui Siam Ben in the French Riviera.
While considered an emerging artist, career highlights include: publication in Lark Books "500 Tiles," a Foundation Tenot Bursary, a CERF+ grant, exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution's AnnMarie Garden, footage of her children's class at the 92nd Street Y appearing in the nationally syndicated PBS special "Craft in America," and addition to the permanent collection of the Siena College of Art, Italy.
Greenleaf has been an artist in residence at Byrdcliffe in Woodstock, New York, AIR Vallauris, France, CAMAC in Marnay sur Sine, France, and at The Studios of Key West, Florida. The interaction and intercultural exchange afforded by these opportunities have been priceless she would welcome the chance to travel just about anywhere.
Future plans include a multi-lingual children's book, curation of an exhibition that will travel to the home countries of residents she recently worked with: the UAE, South Korea, Belgium, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and the USA, and the study of fundraising for the non-profit sector.
