Mindi Ingals was born in northern Idaho in 1984 and spent her childhood living in Okinawa, Japan because both of her parents were in the Navy. Years later, she married her high school sweetheart who is a soldier in the United States Army. Mindi and her husband continue to live and travel all over the world.

In 2011, health factors caused Mindi to discontinue her profession as a contracted personal trainer for the United States Government in Europe. This dramatic lifestyle change was the ultimate factor for her decision to go back to college for art. She will graduate with a B.F.A. in Painting and a concentration in Printmaking from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2014 and looks forward to her career as an artist.
