Color, texture and movement have always played a major role in the development of my work. These concepts have been applied to my paintings, ceramic sculptures, art quilts and mixed media installation projects. Currently, she is working on a series of fabric paintings entitled “Syncopation” that combines contemporary strip piecing with layers of free motion quilting. The art quilt titled “Syncopation IV” received the 2008 Juried All-Media Exhibition Award from the Palos Verdes Art Center in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
