I have lived in Oregon all my life, and traveled in Canada, Central America, Europe, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia. I have a BS degree in cultural anthropology from Oregon State University, and an MA degree in health and culture (anthropology) from Oregon State University.
For nearly twenty years I volunteered in disaster services with the American Red Cross, traveling to various natural disasters in the U.S.
For most of my life I have sought artistic expression through photography. Following retirement I began to quilt and quickly moved to creating representations of my photographs using fiber. My inspiration is nature, and I strive to make realistic interpretations of nature in fiber.
I have had fiber art accepted into national quilt shows in the U.S.; traveling shows in the U.S. and Australia; and a piece on the cover of National Quilting Association (Winter II issue, Dec. 2013).
