Nicole Mueller is an artist and painter based in San Francisco, California with ties to Baltimore, Maryland. Her work has been exhibited in Maryland and New York, and is collected throughout the United States. She received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She has participated in artist residencies throughout the United States and abroad.

Her work incorporates collage into large mixed media paintings bursting with color and energy. They attracts viewers from afar with their vivid colors and energetic compositions, and reward viewers up close with more densely layered, fluctuating spaces.

Her works draw parallels and inspiration from animation and abstraction, which simplify, exaggerate, and select from reality. They include colliding colors and shapes, both cartoon-like and organic, moments of punctuation (sometimes comically loud or abrupt), and depict a world of continuous convergence, dissipating boundaries, and in celebration of paradox.
